People Helping People is a Hood County nonprofit founded in 1983 by the Lake Granbury Ministerial Alliance to provide food and clothing to those in need. Operated entirely by volunteers, the organization is able to direct 100% of donations straight back into the community. Each week, they distribute thousands of pounds of food to local families while also supporting their mission through resale shops offering donated goods. For decades, their focus has remained simple and powerful—helping neighbors through difficult times with dignity and care.
